Exterior-vert-8-winterThe line between delicious food and so-so food is not as far a jump as one would think.  A lot of times the difference is based solely on the freshness of the ingredients.  We here at Cedar Crest Lodge try to use the freshest ingredients that are available to us.  That is one of the reasons we have implemented several organic food gardens: vegetable, berry, and herb.  We then use these ingredients at their peak throughout the year for the best tasting food possible and will suggest certain dishes based on the season.

So, when Matt brought up the idea of adding a seasonal-specific entree onto our menu every couple of months; I jumped at the chance.  It not only satisfies my need for change, brings out our creativity, but it gives our repeat B&B guests an opportunity to try many selections!

This month you can revel in comfort food with our Italian Sausage Risotto.  This is a wonderful dish featuring creamy risotto with subtly-spiced Italian sausage all mixed together with tangy Parmesan cheese.  Very delicious and comforting.  You can order the Italian Sausage Risotto entree now through the end of February.
